The MRI images were studied by radiologist that had no previous knowledge of the girl’s condition. After comparing the twenty anorexic girl’s bones to twenty healthy girl’s knees they realized the fat bone or the yellow marrow was found in the femur and tibia or the leg bones. It is believed that hormonal change may be linked to the increased amount of yellow marrow in one’s bones.
